
Dr Kai Thilo has almost thirty years of experience in academic research and clinical psychology. Dr Kai is a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol) with the British Psychological Society (BPS), an Associate Fellow of the BPS (AFBPsS) and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Since graduating in Experimental Psychology from the University of Düsseldorf, he completed a PhD in Neuroscience at University College London (UCL), qualified in CBT at the University of Oxford and completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (ClinPsyD) at the University of Birmingham. He has worked in academic research at the University of Oxford and at Royal Holloway as well as within the NHS.
He maintains research collaborations with UCL and Oxford's Department of Psychiatry. He also offers an in-house Clinical Psychology service at Airbus Military UK at RAF Brize Norton.
Dr Kai's therapeutic approach is most strongly informed by CBT and ACT but he draws from additional models when indicated and offers a flexible and individualised therapy experience.
